Characteristics
Strengths
- Nosebar transfer on both ends allows smooth transfer of small products between conveyors
- Compared to a regular belt conveyor needs very little attention. No tracking issues and modular chain lasts longer than a belt
- Chain is easily removable for maintenance or cleaning etc.
Limitations
- Modular chain is more expensive than regular belt
- Makes more noise than standard belt conveyor
- Not for bulk materials and abrasive materials (anything that can jam chain hinges)
