Description
How it works
We build vacuum chain conveyors for empty PET bottles and aluminium cans. Suction through a perforated plastic chain holds lightweight containers against the conveying surface to improve stability.
-> Changeover between containers with different neck diameters is significantly faster than with air-blown conveyors.
-> We offer adjustable dampers to regulate airflow in individual conveyor sections. These are optional and quoted separately. The conveyor can run with the vacuum switched off when containers remain stable at the required operating speed.
Cleaning
Conveyor has easily removable inspection covers for cleaning access.
Information required for quotation
-> Container type, base diameter, height and how many different formats are used.
-> Base shape. A petaloid base does not work with this type of conveyor.
-> Line speed in containers per hour.
-> Layout and information about infeed/outfeed machine conveyors
Typical applications
- Light container transport between production steps
- Can inspector systems

Characteristics
Strengths
- Quick changeover time between different neck diameters
- Minimal jamming and blockage risk versus air-blow conveyors
- Vacuum can be switched off with stable products that do not require it.
- Zone-based vacuum with shutters keeps energy use down
Limitations
- Not suitable for petaloid-base bottles. The base does not seal against the chain.
- Not for very high-speed lines. Actual speed limit depends on container stability, layout and transfers
- The vacuum blower adds electrical load and noise. Silencers reduce blower noise but do not eliminate it.
