Layout Planning & 2D/3D Engineering

Conveyor layout planning based on a 3D scan

We develop conveyor layouts from customer-supplied 2D drawings or on-site 3D scans. Our experience includes complex conveyor systems that pass through multiple production areas, change elevation and must fit around existing machines and structures.

Layout planning is offered as part of conveyor projects rather than as a standalone service. Pricing is typically based on engineering hours.

You receive a 2D layout or a neutral 3D model.

If accurate dimensions are available, customer-supplied 2D drawings can be used as the basis for the project. For projects in existing production facilities, we typically recommend an on-site 3D scan carried out by a local service provider. This is especially useful where machines, conveyors and structures are already in place or the conveyor route passes through multiple areas.

The resulting 3D model provides a much more dependable starting point for engineering and helps avoid costly surprises later in the project.

Conveyor Design & Engineering

Stainless steel accumulation conveyor with guard rails, assembled in the workshop

Based on the agreed layout, we configure our standard conveyors or develop custom solutions to meet the production requirements. We make sure every conveyor, transition and product-handling element works with the surrounding machines and the line as a whole.

  • Conveyor selection based on the product, capacity and operating conditions
  • Hygienic, washdown-ready design where required
  • Transfers between different conveyor types
  • Safety elements integrated into the design
  • Mounting points for sensors and operating components

Application-specific features can be integrated into the conveyor design, including:

Cleaning features such as quick belt release
Manual or pneumatic conveyor gates
Height-adjustment systems
Integrated drip trays and CIP nozzles
E-stops, rope switches, guarding and other safety features
Cable trays, sensor mounts and other electrical provisions

More complex and custom-engineered projects typically require additional engineering effort and longer lead times than configured standard conveyors. Contact us for more details.

Product Handling & Line Equipment

Product handling and line equipment integrated with a conveyor system

To complete the conveyor system, we design and integrate the required product-handling and support equipment, either as part of the conveyor itself or as separate modules.

  • Product stopping, spacing and indexing
  • Product turning and orientation control (eg. box/crate turners)
  • Lane dividing, merging and product diverting
  • Integration of weighing, metal detection and vision inspection equipment
  • Reject systems for removing non-conforming products
  • Operator access platforms, steps and walkways

Installation & Commissioning Support

Conveyor installation and commissioning support

Once the system is ready for shipment, we support installation and commissioning with clear documentation, remote technical guidance and, where required, on-site assistance.

  • Installation drawings and instructions, photos and videos of the assembled system before shipment
  • Remote technical support during installation, start-up and troubleshooting
  • On-site commissioning support by agreement
